About CP Industries

A family-run New Zealand quantity surveying and compliance support business focused on accurate H1 reporting, practical takeoffs, and clear communication.

Family-run quantity surveying and compliance support

CP Industries Ltd is a family-run New Zealand business built around practical construction knowledge, accurate measuring, and clear compliance support. The business has been operating for 12 years and has grown from one quantity surveyor to a team of 12, while continuing to expand its support across H1 compliance and plan-based takeoff work.

We work with builders, designers, subcontractors, quantity surveyors, homeowners, and major insulation businesses throughout New Zealand. That gives us a practical understanding of how reports and takeoffs are used in the real world — for pricing, ordering, consent documentation, construction decisions, and project records.

Our senior industry experience spans 48 years in the building industry, including 40 years in insulation. That experience includes involvement in bringing major glasswool insulation products to the New Zealand market during a period when the industry had far fewer product options, as well as involvement in successful building-product and insulation-related start-ups that are still operating today.

The team also has hands-on experience across insulation installation, sales, product knowledge, and building materials generally, so our takeoffs and reports are grounded in practical construction knowledge rather than just desktop measurement.

Built from real insulation and building-product knowledge

CP Industries is not a generic measuring service. The business has deep insulation and building-product experience, which means the takeoffs are grounded in how products are actually priced, supplied, installed, and checked.

That practical background helps us understand the difference between a number that looks right on paper and a quantity schedule that can actually be used by a builder, supplier, installer, or estimator.

Why that matters

Better understanding of insulation scopes, wall build-ups, product notes, and construction details.

More practical questions asked before quantities or compliance reports are issued.

Clearer outputs for pricing, ordering, consent support, and project review.

In-house NZGBC Member and Homestar Designer capability

For H1 compliance and construction takeoffs, accuracy is not just about measuring areas. It is about understanding how the building performs, how the documentation will be reviewed, and how the numbers will be used by builders, designers, subcontractors, and councils.

With in-house NZGBC Member and Homestar Designer capability, we support residential projects where energy efficiency, comfort, and better-performing homes are part of the brief — alongside H1/VM1 modelling, heating capacity checks, and practical construction takeoffs that can actually be used for pricing and compliance.
